I am a traditional bow collector and I own over sixty bows, with only 20% of those mass production bows. All the rest are from custom bowyers. With that said, you should know that I am no stranger to shooting them all and it is a joke with the local traditonal club as to what bow I will show up with for our friday evening get togethers. I have been known to shoot three different bows over the course of the evening. Well tonight I shot the take down long bow I got from you. A full twenty eight targets and in the pouring rain. A few of my long time archery friends were with me as well as Dustin. Getting to the point, I got this bow at 1:30 in the afternoon, shot it at the shop about ten arrows worth, and then just jumped into the eveing shoot with a strange bow. In the rain I shot very well, in fact damn well, and I have to admit that although I am not easily impressed by any particular bow....I was with yours....It shot fast, forgiving to very wet feathers, and to a hastly thrown togther batch of ash and maple arrows that really aren't exactly matched to this bow. My congratulations on your bows for their beauty and craftmanship, their ease and comfort to shoot. and especially this bow's performance. (in adverse weather). You sir, build one fine bow and I will highly recommend you to anyone I shoot with or hunt with. Feel free to use me for refference as to the quality of your bows. By the way, the other bow I bought, the purheart recorve, is now my wife's and she loves it as much as I love the long bow. scinerely

Got some of the first bows that he ever built and I am still shooting his bows to this day. I remember talking to Neil on numerous occasions about his bows and what type of design etc. he had in mind for his bows; his idea of what a bow should be like, shoot like, feel like.... his own personal signature if you will.... on his bows. I clearly remember that he stated that he did not want to try to build the fastest bow in the world " however, his bows are extremely fast" , he wanted to put his efforts and design ability into producing a very accurate, stable, quite bow designed for the hunting archer first and foremost. So, I can honestly say after owning and shooting most of his bows thru the years that he has achieved his initial goals. I have owned alot of bows the last 25 and Neils bows are in the top two recurves I have ever owned. Let me add here that if you are considering a new recurve from Neil to do your self a favor and check out one of his finger grip contoured risers. You will be very pleased. Another thing his grip has helped me with is enabling me to shoot a bit stiffer weight and still achieve total control with my bow arm. If you have release problems like I have fought for years you might consider going up in bow weight a few pounds.
