Hornet

The Hornet is my version of a static tip recurve bow. I wanted to design a recurve bow that was quiet like a longbow and fast as possible for a do all end all hunting bow. While I’m not offering a lot of options in the Hornet, the one feature that it had to have is Carbon limbs. It comes in two standard lengths, 62” or 64”. Risers are made using Dymalux engineered wood. I’m offering the Hornet with several different riser colors: Charcoal , Walnut color, Winewood , Cocobolo color and of course the Green Hornet. No two pieces of wood are exactly the same, so colors may vary slightly. The cap on the belly side of the riser can be customized to a point. Some people like a contrasting look while others like something more subtle.  All overlays and tips are made using Micarta for its strength and durability. Limb attachments will be your choice of either bezel style or knurled knobs.  Available draw weight will be between #40 and #60 in #5 increments. At this point I’m offering it only in a Take Down Model. However I have several friends that are pressuring me to build them one piece Hornets. I’m sure later this year I will be working on the one piece Hornet. The Hornet is one fun, fast and quiet bow to shoot!
